Camera crews- 2012 Update

For the 2012 event we will no longer execpt registrations from Film Crews. We feel it ruins the perod atmosphere that we are trying to make here at Remagen for the reenactors and the public alike. If you would like to film, this can be done from the spectator's point of view behind the lines.

Tidioute, Pennsylvania- 4th Annual 'Bridge at Remagen' Event

Hosted by the 99th Infantry Division, 393rd Regiment, Easy Company 'Battlebabies.'

This year marks the 67th Anniversary of the 'Bridge at Remagen' battle that helped shorten the Second World War. Our event actually uses a period WW2 bridge as the object of the public battle. We will have a private tactical in the morning of the event and a public battle in the afternoon. For event info, click here.

2009, was the first year for this event but it was really well received. It got a lot of raving reviews and alot of large reenactment units are showing interest in coming to this event. We are limiting this event to only 250 registrations, so we highly recommend registering ASAP.

The 2009 Bridge at Remagen event in Tidioute, PA was a massive hit with 120 reenactors and over 1,200 spectators. The 2010 event had, by newspaper reports, over 4,000 spectators. Our 2011 event had over 4,500 spectators for the public battle.

The 'Stone Quarry' tactical of the Erple Ley was mind-blowing. The event is enhanced by professioanl quality pyrotechnics. The Allegheny River and surrounding area has the look and feel of late-war Germany. Our tactical area can take anything from jeeps to trucks to armor and do anything there within reason.

Operation 'Christmas Hope'

As reenactors, how many times have you attended events and wondered where your event fees went to?

Yes they are used to pay the bills, but who gets the extra cash?

As members of the 99th Infantry Divsion Historical Society Inc., we are now sponsoring this program. This fund was established by Patrick M. Tarasovitch. It was his idea to help honor a local wounded veteran and his family, from our current conflicts. The dogtag sales and some of the Remagen registration fees are applied to this worthy fund.

It is time for us reenactors to help our local veterans from these wars. What a better way than on Christmas? This year, our guest of honor and recipient was Sean Kamierczak from Erie, Pennsylvania. Also present were his wife Stephanie and their daughter. Sean was a Marine MP that was wounded while in Iraq on convoy duty. His Humvee was hit by a roadside bomb. His leg wounds were estensive, since he was the gunner for the vehicle. We presented the family with $1,000.00, to help out with Christmas, through the goodwill of the 99th and fellow reenactors.
